Donald Sung

Donald Sung served in the Second World War in a special, clandestine unit called Force 136.

We don’t know much about Sung, but we do know he was sent to India after his basic training. There he learned commando style warfare and jungle survival techniques.

He was accompanied to India by his cousin, Young Ming (James) Wong. As Force 136 members, they chummed around together and took the photos below during a break from training in India.

We understand Sung rose to the rank of Regimental Sargent Major. Unfortunately, he died relatively young.

If you have any further information about Donald Sung and his war service, please contact our museum at info@ccmms.ca.
